Almost 21 million Americans have at least one addiction yet only 10% receive treatment. Since the 1990’s Opiod sales and drug overdose deaths have both risen 300%. Every day within the U.S. 30 people will die from alcohol related car accidents and 130 will die from an opioid overdose. Alcohol and drug addiction cost the U.S. economy over $600 billion every year. With $600 billion you could end homelessness in the U.S., provide clean drinking water for every human on the planet and have $430 billion left over.
